Listening Lab: The Labor Pool

A friend of mine named Greg Kendall (Bostonians of a certain stripe know him as Skeggy) works as an independent film distributor, but lately he’s been making noise with his old bandmate Bob Lawton, his brother Bob Kendall, and Eric Payne as The Labor Pool. They’ve got a bunch of new songs posted at Bandcamp and are playing live shows; there’s one July 30 at Rusty’s in Middletown, RI, and August 12 at MassMoCA with M. Ward. Skeggy says that playing in a rock band feels exactly the same as it did when he was a teenager. It sounds pretty awesome, too. Here’s my favorite.
